Acid Reflux Wedge Pillow FAQs

Buy the MedSlant acid reflux pillow

Q.  Why is the MedSlant™ pillow better than other wedges on the market?
A.  The PATENTED design of the MedSlant™ wedge pillow folds for easy portability and storage. At 32" long it is longer than most wedges available and supports the head, chest and shoulders. Simply raising the head on pillow causes the body to bend in the middle and actually makes reflux worse. There are a few other longer wedges available but they do not fold for travel. When not sleeping on your MedSlant™, fold it and lean against it for reading or watching TV. Folded, it will slide easily under most beds.

Q. Do you offer a MedSlant pillow with a mite-proof cover?
A. Yes. You can purchase the original MedSlant pillow with an allergen barrier mite-proof zippered encasement.  This soft, breathable encasement will protect your pillow from dust, dust mites, and other allergens.

Q.  Do I have to sleep on my back to get the benefits of the MedSlant™ pillow?
A.  No, you may sleep on your side or on your back and you will still get a better night's sleep.

Q.  Can I travel with the MedSlant™ pillow?
A.  MedSlant™ folds into its own plastic travel bag with handles. It will fit in the overhead bin on an airplane and travels easily by car.

Q.  How do I cover my MedSlant™ pillow?
A.  The MedSlant™ pillow comes with a washable, removable cover that fits like a contour sheet. Just place the large end of the cover over the large end of the pillow, the smaller end over the smaller end of the pillow. The MedSlant™ pillow will fold with the cover on it.

Q.  Can I still use my own pillow when sleeping on the MedSlant™ pillow?
A.  Yes. Most people sleep comfortably when placing their own pillow on the MedSlant™ pillow. Try sleeping with and without your pillow and see what is more comfortable for you.

Q.  Can I use the MedSlant™ pillow on a water bed?
A.  Yes. Water beds do not give as much support as regular mattresses, but the MedSlant™ pillow will still be effective.

Q.  Who can benefit from sleeping on MedSlant™?
A.  People with GERD, reflux, hiatal hernias, asthma, respiratory diseases, snoring problems, heart patients, pregnant women, or anyone who will sleep better elevated.

Q.  How can infants and children benefit from MedSlant™?
A.  MedSlant™ is the perfect size to fit under a crib mattress to benefit infants suffering from reflux or congestion. Children old enough to sleep on a pillow will benefit from MedSlant™ just as adults do.

Q.  Who developed MedSlant™?
A.  MedSlant™ was designed by a pillow manufacturer and a GERD patient. When they realized that its benefits were needed not just at home, they found a way to make it fold and be portable.

Q.  What are the dimensions of MedSlant™?
A.  MedSlant™ is 24" wide, 32" long and 7" high at the top. It easily fits on a twin bed or one half of a double, queen or king without disturbing the other person.

Q.  Does it take time to get used to sleeping on MedSlant™?
A.  It may take a night or two to get used to the benefits of your new sleeping position. Most people find it only takes a night to love MedSlant™.

Q.  Does sleeping on MedSlant™ replace medical advice?
A.  No. For minor or occasional heartburn, MedSlant™ may be all you need. For persistent heartburn or other medical problems, consult your doctor or health care professional.

Q.  Is MedSlant™ returnable?
A.  MEDSLANT PILLOWS ARE PERSONAL HEALTH PRODUCTS.   FOR YOUR PROTECTION FROM TRANSMITTABLE DISEASES, THEY ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

MedSlant pillows, pillow covers, and travel bags are guaranteed against defects.

Q. Does MedSlant ship to foreign countries?
A. Yes, we have shipped MedSlant pillows all over the world. Rates are posted in the order section.  Please be aware that duties and/or taxes may be levied by your country.  These fees are not included in the shipping charge:  the shipping charge covers getting your pillow from the United States to your country.  Please contact your customs office to see what, if any, charges will be assessed.

"I just wanted to write to let you know how much I enjoy your acid reflux pillow. It is probably the best purchase I have ever made. I can finally get a good night's sleep without worrying about acid reflux. Previously, I used 3 or 4 pillows to prop myself up at night. This kinked my back, especially when sleeping on my side, causing me constant lower back pain. I can't tell you how nice it is to now sleep on my side or back in complete comfort, and no more back pain. There were other choices out there, costing well over $100 I had considered. Thank goodness I chose your product which works perfectly and is much more affordable. I will definitely recommend your product to anyone else I know with this condition. You're a lifesaver. Thanks so much."
